Lake Sinissippi Speedway Rules

1.   You must be 18 years or older to race or ride in car without parental consent.

2.   Studded tires are NOT allowed.  Any other type of rubber tire may be used.  No foreign objects in rubber.

3.   Roll bars are optional.

4.   Windows may be left in tact.  All other glass including headlights and tail lights must be removed.  All chrome reflectors, etc. or anything else that could come off must also be removed.

5.   Seatbelts and helmets are mandatory.  They will be inspected.  No Exceptions.

6.   Gas tanks may be left as is or can be put in trunk if they are fastened down.

7.   Any type of engine may be used.

8.   Fire extinguishers are mandatory, 2 ½ # mounted in car.

9.   Races will be held around an oval track ½ to 6/10 of a mile.

10. Number of laps and cars in each race will depend on how many cars show.

11.  Entry fee is $20 per class. ($7 of which applies to track maintenance).

12.  Prize money will be split between the top four runners in each race.

13.  Front wheel drive vehicles, all open class, and 4 cyl. will run in a different class and have separate entry fees.

14.  No disorderly conduct will be tolerated or you will be disqualified for the day.

15.  Races will be held Sunday afternoons January through February (8 weeks weather permitting).

16.  Weight may be added, but must be fastened down.

17.  Any leaks of foreign material such as oil, and especially anti-freeze will put cars out of the race until repaired.  You must repair the vehicle on land because of DNR regulations. 
 
18.  Carpet under cars in pits is mandatory. 

19.  There will be NO racing until people are clear of the track.

20.  Registration will be done on the premises, INSIDE Karen’s Lone Pine Tap.  Do not pay on the track.

21.  Pay-outs after all races will be inside Karen’s Lone Pine Tap after the track is cleaned up.

22.  Release forms must be signed before racing (to include: sign, car and number).

23.  Anyone taking someone out intentionally will be eliminated from that day (please inform us of any such actions).

24.  Anyone spinning out must yield to cars on track or will be flagged.

25.  Points stay with the driver number.  A driver can change cars after a race is completed but MUST notify flagman of the change.

26.  Radiator guards behind bumper are recommended.

27.  When RED FLAG is out, race is over or stopped.  No one is allowed on track until restarted.

28.  Car line-up will be posted before race on board. 

29.  Rolling starts.

30.  No getting out of car during race (Stay in car – hands, arms, head, etc!)

31.  No counting laps under YELLOW FLAG.

32.  One passenger allowed per car (if under 18 years of age, consent form must be signed by parent.)

33.  Number must be on windshield and side of car and large enough to be seen by flagman and other racers.  Vertical number plate on roof of car is suggested.

34.  Under YELLOW FLAG conditions, continue racing until you reach the flagman.

35.  No vans or full size trucks.  (2wd S10 or Ranger size ok).

36.  Races begin at 12 noon sharp. If you know you will be late, please call ahead of time.

37.  Drivers may not drink alcohol BEFORE or DURING races.  Drinking and driving will NOT be tolerated.
